VISITS TO SCHOOL FOR PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES AND CHILDREN

If you are interested in your child joining Mayfield in September 2026's reception intake, or you are interested in your child/ren moving to Mayfield in any year group, then please contact school - ideally via the headteacher email (head@mayfield.lancs.sch.uk) - or the school office (info@mayfield.lancs.sch.uk)  for a personal 1-2-1 tour led by Mr Denton.


We will set a date and time that's personalised for you and fits with your busy diaries. There will also be opportunity for questions during your visit and to see school during learning time. We want you to see our busy school during a regular day so you can experience everything at work for yourselves.

After School's Cool

AFTER SCHOOL'S COOL

  Mayfield offering full after school provision from 3.15pm each day.

Our Breakfast provision known as Early Risers opens at 7.30am each morning. Entrance is via the top playground gate. Families can bring bring their child/ren into the school gym (next to The Wizard of Oz Garden) when dropping them off. Breakfast staff are on hand to pick up any messages and welcome everyone. The provision is run by Mrs Denton and Mrs Carlton and this provision is supported by a number of other school staff. All staff are those who work with the children in school throughout the day and know the families and children well.

 

Breakfasts are supported by our partners 'Magic Breakfast', who work with school is support our range of breakfast provision with the aim on ensuring that no-child should go hungry each morning. 'Magic Breakfast' and ourselves have worked together for a number of years now to offer a breakfast bagel/crumpets to all children in every class. Ms Willmott prepares these fresh each morning. Attempting to ensure that everyone who needs that breakfast can have it once they arrive in class or via our Early Risers Breakfast provision.  

The provision itself, including booking systems, are managed by Ms Willmott and Mrs Thomason. Please contact the school office in person or email info@mayfield.lancs.sch.uk for more information or to book your child into the wrap around provision.

Costs for After School's Cool: £6.50 per day.

We continue to build and develop our After School's Cool offer each term and each year. 

We request that you provide as much notice as possible to book places on the provision, but ad-hoc bookings and shorter notice bookings can be made as we understand unforeseen circumstances do arise and cover may suddenly be required. 

It is our standard procedure to request payment at the time in full in order to ensure that large monies owed do not start to gather. 

School leaders reserve the right to refuse access to the provision if it is deemed in the best interests of the parties concerned.
