VISITS TO SCHOOL FOR PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES AND CHILDREN

If you are interested in your child joining Mayfield in September 2026's reception intake, or you are interested in your child/ren moving to Mayfield in any year group, then please contact school - ideally via the headteacher email (head@mayfield.lancs.sch.uk) - or the school office (info@mayfield.lancs.sch.uk)  for a personal 1-2-1 tour led by Mr Denton.


We will set a date and time that's personalised for you and fits with your busy diaries. There will also be opportunity for questions during your visit and to see school during learning time. We want you to see our busy school during a regular day so you can experience everything at work for yourselves.

MAYFIELD HOLIDAY CLUB

  Our holiday offer running every Christmas, Easter and Summer

Our holiday provision is led by our partners Sports Cool Fylde. Their manager: Emma Williams leads the offer which runs across each of the main termly holidays with the support of the HAF voucher scheme. This makes the provision fully free to those who are eligible, whilst creating a regular holiday offer for everyone else. Dates and opening times vary dependent upon the structure of the holidays, but sessions generally run for 4 hours at a time - this includes a lunch for the children. Emma's team lead the children in planned, daily sporting and other outdoor activities from arrival until departure. Sports Cool Fylde work alongside other aspects of our school life and provide strong support for both school and families needs to deliver this offer bespoke to Mayfield children.

The provision itself, including booking systems, are managed by Sports Cool and Emma Williams. Each individual club has instructions for how to sign up once it is announced via our APP, social media and The Headlines weekly news. The announcements are generally in the weeks leading up to the main termly holidays at Christmas, Easter and Summer.

Lisa Carlton, our Family Learning Mentor, is the school contact relating to HAF codes and eligibility. If you are interested in attending the holiday provision but are unsure about whether you can access the codes then we recommend that you contact ourselves, via the school office or email, and we will do all we can to help.

Costs: Free with a HAF code.  Individual prices for those not eligible vary depending upon the event.

We continue to build and develop our holiday offer each year and look at ways to expand the offer whilst making it viable to run. 

We encourage families to book early as clubs can fill quickly. 

Sports Cool and school reserve the right to refuse access to the provision if it is deemed in the best interests of the parties concerned.
